The Turmeric-Testosterone Connection

The Turmeric-Testosterone Connection

If you enjoy eating Indian food, or most kinds of curry, you’ve definitely had your fair share of turmeric.

Recent studies have shown this unique Middle-Eastern herb has the power to boost your nutrition and take your testosterone to new heights. And as a man, if there’s one spice you should try to get more of in your diet, it’s this one.

In this short article, I’m going to fill you in on why you need to make turmeric a staple in your every day diet (and how to do it), plus, I’ll show you four ways this Indian herb skyrockets testosterone levels and makes you a better man by the tablespoon.

Four Ways Turmeric Increases Testosterone

Turmeric lowers estrogen levels

Turmeric is a powder that comes from the root of the Curcuma longa plant.

Curcumin makes up the majority of turmeric powder and is the main cause of all its benefits — starting with lowering estrogen levels to prevent an estrogen “takeover” in your body.

A 2013 study showed that curcumin inside of turmeric can lower estrogen by suppressing the cells that produce it AND increasing estrogen metabolism, which is a double-whammy to the feminizing hormone.

As a man, this couldn’t be better news for you because not only does estrogen increase as you age, but estrogenic chemicals are lurking inside of products you use everyday — and can flood your body with estrogen before you even know what hit you. But with the help of turmeric, you’ll shut estrogen down and keep your hormonal balance in check.

Turmeric Decreases Cortisol

There’s a stress hormone in your body called cortisol.

It’s important for boosting your “fight or flight response” when you need it most. However, if it’s elevated for too long (like if you spend too much time in the gym or are overwhelmed at work), high cortisol levels actually lower testosterone.

The good news is, multiple studies (study, study) have shown that turmeric powder decreases the stress hormone cortisol in two ways.

First, a study from Ohio State University found curcumin in turmeric blocks the increase of cortisol caused by emotional stress.

And a study from the University of Florida found curcumin has the power to reverse elevated cortisol levels that are the result of chronic stress — which means you can turn around years of pent-up stress that’ll been wreaking havoc on your T-count, and finally give your testosterone some breathing room to grow.

Now, one major problem is it’s very difficult for your bloodstream to absorb curcumin. However, because of these amazing benefits of curcumin, engineers have worked hard to create a more bioavailable form of it — and I’ll show you exactly how to get it at the end of this post.

Turmeric Increases HDL cholesterol

Cholesterol, specifically high-density lipoprotein (HDL cholesterol), is a building block for testosterone. So it’s no surprise that studies show the higher the HDL, the higher the testosterone.

And the good news is, a 2012 rat study found turmeric increases HDL cholesterol and boosts testosterone as a result. Plus, it lowers LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol), giving you a complete cholesterol health upgrade that your doctor will appreciate next time you go in for a checkup.

Turmeric Activates Vitamin D receptors

A study from Heidleberg, Germany found a direct connection between vitamin D and testosterone. Basically, the higher your vitamin D levels are, the higher your testosterone levels will be.

And that’s where turmeric comes in.

Research shows turmeric activates vitamin D receptors, which improves the absorption of vitamin D into your body and DNA. As a result, you’ll experience healthier testosterone levels.

Now What?

Turmeric is one of the most powerful testosterone boosting spices you might have in your kitchen cabinet right now.

But the fact of the matter is, you probably won’t be eating curry every night. And even if you peppered turmeric on every meal you ate throughout the day, you likely still wouldn’t get enough. Plus, it’s extremely difficult for your bloodstream to absorb curcumin (the primary T-boosting ingredient inside turmeric) so you get the maximum results from it.

I had that same experience myself…

Trying to get enough turmeric day after day, yet never seeing the results I wanted. That’s why I called up my team of engineers and asked them to add turmeric to my testosterone-boosting greens powder, Man Greens.

Man Greens contains the highest quality source of turmeric to take your testosterone to the next level. Plus, it’s packed with 8 other natural ingredients that’ll skyrocket your testosterone 200 points in just a few sips.
