7 Things Every Man Should Have In 2020 to Boost Testosterone

If that weren’t bad enough, a study conducted by researcher Daniel J. Cadwell, proved that there’s a significant number of estrogens in tap water. They used the Pharmaceutical Assessment and Transport Evaluation (PhATE) to predict the increase of estrogens caused by tap water and found a shocking amount in the water you might be drinking every day.

That’s why it’s crucial that you use a water filter.

Now, water filtration systems can be expensive, but they’re an important tool for getting the most out of your testosterone levels this year. If you don’t want to install a water filtration system (or pay the price for one), try a water filter jug or pitcher.

 

2. Good Pillow

According to multiple sleep studies, there’s no doubt that a good night’s sleep can do wonders for your testosterone health. The more you sleep and the BETTER you sleep, the higher your testosterone levels will be come morning.

One study from the University of Chicago tested the hormonal activity in a group of men while they slept. Men who had slept 4 hours woke up with a 200-300 ng/dl testosterone level. On the other hand, men who had slept 8 hours woke up with their testosterone at 500-700 ng/dl.

Because getting a better night sleep will boost testosterone levels, one of the best things you can do is make sure you’ve got everything you need to achieve optimal sleep each night. The first thing you need to consider is having a good pillow, one that will help you sleep comfortably and allow you to rest properly.

Also, it’s a good idea to use blue-blocker glasses if you spend a lot of time on the computer. Blue light that comes from computers and phones suppresses melatonin — the hormone that helps you fall asleep.

 

3. Non-Teflon Cookware

Teflon is one of the most common materials used in cookware…

Which is bad news because studies have shown Teflon is testosterone suppressive. The problem isn’t Teflon itself; it’s the coating material they use over it for cookware. Some of the most common chemicals used with this material are PFOS and PFOAS. These compounds bind to androgen receptors and blocks testosterone and DHT from being able to bind there and enter your DNA.

According to this study from the University of Padova, exposure to these kinds of materials can result in testicular shrinkage, decreased sperm production, and lower testosterone levels. So one of the best things you can do in 2020 is avoid using Teflon-made cookware.

There are several options out there, but ceramic coated cookware is a good medium between Teflon and completely ceramic pans that are much more breakable. If you’re up for a bit more maintenance you can also opt for a cast-iron skillet.

 

4. Loose boxers

I don’t want to get too personal. Whether you’re a boxers or briefs guy really isn’t any of my business.

But you need to know that if you’re wearing briefs, you’re ruining your testosterone levels.

The reason is that your gonads are compressed when you wear briefs, and as a result, the temperature rises “down there”, which is damaging to your T-count. See, the temperature inside your testicles must be cool in order to have a good environment for your hormones. But once your testicles get really tight and the temperature increases, your testosterone levels drop.

But this isn’t all. When your testicles get scrunched together, it inhibits optimal blood circulation, making it difficult for luteinizing hormone (a precursor to testosterone) to synthesize testosterone.

 

5. A Proven Testosterone Boosting Training Routine

It’s been scientifically proven that exercise significantly impacts testosterone production. Testosterone levels reach their peak after 30 minutes of exercise. After this, they return to baseline in about an hour. This increase can be really intense, but it is only temporary. Your goal then, is to keep this higher level in your body for a longer, more stable period.

 

According to research from the University of Southern California, there is a simple way to boost your testosterone while training:

  • Don’t exercise your muscles separately. Instead, exercise several large muscle groups at a time.
  • Lift heavy weights. Shoot for 6-8 repetitions per set.
  • Rest for short periods of time — ideally 1 minute between each set.
